Privacy policy

Your information, explained.

Updated 9 October 2026.

This notice covers this MacFreaks and MacFreaks United website and enquiries made through its contact links. It explains the current website behavior, rather than making a blanket claim that no information is ever stored.

Information you choose to share

Enquiry forms let you type your name, device or company details, and a message. The form prepares a WhatsApp link; there is no enquiry database or automatic form submission on this website. Selecting “Continue on WhatsApp” passes the prepared text to WhatsApp. The MacFreaks team receives it when you send the message there. WhatsApp processes the link and message under its own privacy terms.

If you contact the team, information may include your phone number, contact details, device issues, photos and messages. For an order or service, the team may also need delivery, invoice and GST billing details. Use these channels only for information needed for your request. Never send passwords, OTPs, full card numbers or confidential project files.

Collaboration enquiries may also include a public social profile, proposed topic, idea and timing. The form prepares a WhatsApp message in the same way. Publication, filming and commercial terms are discussed separately before a collaboration proceeds.

Why it is used

Contact and order information is used to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange sales, repairs or delivery, provide support, issue invoices and meet applicable record-keeping requirements. Necessary details may be shared with the people handling your request and the selected delivery or payment provider. This website does not collect or process card payments.

What stays on your device

Site search and the Mac finder run in your browser. Review-mode notes and the reviewer name are saved in this browser’s local storage. Sound and welcome preferences may also be saved locally. Review notes are not automatically shared with the team: you choose to download, copy or share them. Clearing site data in your browser removes these locally saved notes and preferences; export notes you want to keep first.

Hosting, video and external services

Hosting and content-delivery providers may process technical connection information, including IP address, browser details and request logs, to deliver and protect the website. Some thumbnails and script libraries load from external providers. Opening a video loads YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player; opening Instagram, Maps, WhatsApp or an external website takes you to that provider’s service. Their own privacy terms apply. YouTube may still process data when its player loads or is used.

Google Analytics is not currently used on this website. If analytics is enabled later, the site’s consent controls must be updated and a choice provided before optional analytics loads.

Project files and rental devices

For connected project setups, production files and backups are designed to remain on the organisation’s own servers, storage and accounts. The agreed handover includes customer verification and removal of project data and accounts from rental devices before return. This does not remove the need to retain ordinary business records such as invoices and support correspondence.

Retention and your requests

Business information should be kept only for the period needed to handle the request, provide the service, resolve a dispute or meet a legal record-keeping requirement. Ask the team to access, correct or delete information you have shared, or to stop optional communications, through the contact route below. Some invoice or legal records may need to be retained. The applicable retention schedule and designated privacy contact must be confirmed before the full launch.

Last updated: 9 October 2026. This notice should be reviewed whenever the site adds checkout, analytics, accounts or a new data service.
